Possible Dying GPU, or Virus?

Hi, I've recently been noticing some weird things occuring on my PC, I have screenshots, but I'm not sure if it's a virus or something. My friend said it may be a dying GPU, but I'm not 100% sure, it happens at randoms times on every programs. The picture I have attached is the only one I could get a screenshot of but it occurs in all different colors and shapes.

if you are on DVI swap to HDMI or DisplayPort or vice versa

I guess it could be.  I wouldn't think it would be a virus.  At the same time though it could be your drivers.

Make sure the problem isn't your monitor or cable. Start the computer in safe mode and see if the problem still occurs. It could be a problem with drivers or your graphics card, how long have you had your graphics card?

Does it only happen in your browser?

If so: disable hardware acceleration in the settings of your browser.

i think is the HDD the one is dieing (an not the GPU friend)  :blush:

 

get a backup of all the important stuff now (just in case)

a dieing hard drive will not cause issues like that.

If you feel it could e a virus, follow these steps

And if the issue persists reinstall windows.

If the issue is still there after the re install, look at hardware.

Get a bootable linux usb and check if you still get issues. If you do, then yes. Your GPU is dying

 

Also, switch the output but I doubt this would solve anything, as you can take a screenshot of the problem.
