Right, so earlier today I oc'd my 2500k to 4.8Ghz with 1.365 Vcore, currently running it now, prime 95'd it for 4 hours straight as a temp test, all of this is being cooled off of air, Seems pretty stable at the moment and I tried a game, Gta4 to be exact, unoptimised piece of you know what, very CPU intensive. During gameplay the Minimum FPS / tanked FPS increased by 25-35% to a minimum of 40Fps, max load temps are 75'c on the hottest core, coldest being 65'c, is it worth keeping the OC or going back to default since I don't do video editting, benchmarking, etc.

If you're getting decent temperatures then why not keep the OC? Like you said, it will improve gaming as well.

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Brian (Swiftech Support): Hmm, have you tried slapping it?

I'm idling 42-50 and maxing at 75, I'm debating about trying to hit 5Ghz and then defaulting or going back to 4.8, and this was surprisingly easy to obtain.

That's normally why some of us overclock... To increase min fps.

I mean... If you want your fps to dip down below 40 then go ahead and put it back to stock.

If 75c is your P95 temp then GZ, that's kind of cool.

Well, the minimum FPS was 30-35, now it's 40-45, not all too sure or what I'll do. And yea, 75 was idling during the 4 hour test.

Watch your voltage. 1.36 is getting pretty high.

I know, 1.35 Was the highest I was willing to go, but 1.36 was stable.
