Some stuff I use on my Nexus 7 and NVIDIA Shield:

SwiftKey - A really nice, widely customizable keyboard. If you don't like it, try the Android L Keyboard.

TeamViewer 9 - has a companion application for Windows/OS X/Linux, allows you to control your PC from your phone.

Asphalt 8 - If you like racing games, it is pretty fun. GT Racing 2 is as well.

TeamSpeak 3 - Come on to the LinusSchnitzelTips Unofficial Teamspeak! The IP is teamschnitzel.ltt-unofficial.com

Nova Launcher - If you dislike the stock launcher (homescreen, app drawer, BlinkFeed), this is for you. You can get a plethora of themes for it, change home screen layouts and icon grids and so on.

Flatro - Really nice looking icon pack for Android, spruces up the appearance with round, flat icons.

Clean Master - Free Optimizer - helps by freeing up RAM usage and can also manage unused content on your device.

Swiftkey was the first thing i installed xD blinkfeed is okay i just see it as a gimmick

Try Swype. IMHO it's better than Swiftkey.

actually Blinkfeed is really nice if you want to get news information very quickly, at first I did not like blinkfeed at all but after using it for about a week all the tech news from other websites are very useful.

I may also suggest (of you're feeling adventurous) flashing the Google play edition rom onto the phone.

if you guys have the phone

give me tips and ticks please

and some apps maybe

Would you be interested turning into a google play edition with ota updates enabled? basically just means its totally stock android and you get the newest os based updates before all other phones save for the nexus 5 and other google play edition phones.

While still retaining most of the cool features!
