SLI Two Different Cards

I have always wanted to know if I could SLI two different GPU models together. I have a GTX770 and want to get a GTX750ti. Can both cards be SLI'd together? If so can I have some links for references and how-to's? Thanks!

Nope. You can only SLI the same cards.

for nvidia it's a nope , for an amd card as long as it's from the same chip altho different release number/version you're good to go,

The 750ti has no sli port so that will half your problem........

But you could throw a 750/750Ti in just for PhysX, I think.

Ehh but that would be pointless for what I would want the extra power and such.

I thought the VRAM wasn't that important with SLI, I'm sure I've read somewhere that someone had a 6GB card and a 3GB card and both worked with basically a 3GB buffer purely because of the card with the lower memory.

 

I could be mistaken but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere.

I think your right. You can have the same GPU but different VRAM. I was just looking for two different GPU's (770, 750ti).

if you think about it, it's a very wise thing From nVidia to require the Mobo to be SLI Certified, Same GPU and Ram Config, because unlike AMD allowing any Mobo with multi PCI-E 16X Lanes to use CF, and different GPUs and Ram Amounts, That could and will result in poor performance improvement since if you use an industrial Old Mobo or one of the cards is weaker than the other, there will be huge Performance Held Back, but wirth nVidia, those requirements are to make sure when you use Two Cards you will have double the fun, there will be performance Increase, wise ha
