mineos...never heard

Google.

I'll get on it.

CPU is overkill, but then again I come from a back ground of FTB servers which can be very heavy on CPU/RAM.

EDIT: Do you need a case @chriscoolzap

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

How many players?

You'll want to have a good storage and CPU, RAM depends on amount of plugins, mods (if any installed) and players (not such a load, but if we are talking about +250 then yeh)

50 -100 players with 20 plugins

I hope you have decent internet connection... No idea how much traffic minecraft generates but 50-100 might require decent upload speeds.

4 GB RAM might be enought but if it gets at the point of full load (all players interacting + plugins load) they'll be filled up, 6 GB should take, but those kits make no sense so a 8GB one

CPU? i3 should be enough

Just a fast storage, some HDDs can stutter the process of loading chunks

also for 100 players you must have at least 40/40 network

no, for that shit you need at least 8GB

he shouldnt be saving his game on a ssd cuz it would wear out the ssd pretty fast

you could get 16Gb ram and do a ramdisk and after playing you can just backup your server to the hdd and you are good to go

Yes it is, have you ever hosted a mfing server? 20 players on pure vanilla barely use 1 GB of RAM

I didn't say SSD, I said FAST STORAGE

you need to go to the task manager, the ingame numbers are wrong, he may wants to run feed the beast or things like that too which need more ram and even than it lags a bit

@chriscoolzap

Do you care about noise?

What are you plans for power consumption?

Yes I do care about noise but power is not a problem.

Just take a look at those 2 builds I threw. The HDD which would be the noisiest part wouldn't be that bad, isn't something to consider as noisy

Thanks!
