New roms

PillowSmoke

Alighty so recently I kinda feel quote on quote "Adventurous", and had a feeling of changing it up. So I'm here today to ask what flavor of rom do you prefer? and I'm currently debating between using cm or aokp.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

Cyanogenmod > all

just make sure to do a FULL phone/ROM backup before you start so you can flash back if need be.

I've been using AOKP on my old Samsung Galaxy Ace and it has been great so far. I also tried CyanogenMod on it but I couldn't get GAPPS working so I went with AOKP and it honestly makes the phone feel so much faster even though it is so old!

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

AOKP and CM are basically the same thing. You can go either way and you should be fine, just keep in mind that AOKP's themeing engine is kinda outdated now with CM's much improved theming engine which lets you do a TON.

For example, basically all icon packs that are Nova/Apex launcher compatible can be used to theme ANY launcher, system-wide.
