Hello all,

I've been oogling over Caselabs cases, just like most of us, for quite a long time.

I have a bit of an issue now, I want to buy one... But which?

Here's my use case, and some of my wants, please help :D

Must support:

E-ATX motherboards

4 way SLI (for the future)

Watercooling (At least 2 360mm rads, I'd prefer more.)

Big Window

Now, I want to look at a few different cases, so if more than one fits those requirements, feel free to share more than one. (I'm looking at them at the same time, and considering different ones.)

I'd like to see Cube cases, and non-cube cases. For ones that aren't cubes, I'd love to see a basement/attic, and or both, in the case.

Thanks for all help deciding where to spend tons of money.

(Size isn't an issue)

TX10-D

To be completely honest, I'm currently working on different random updates to my Girlfriends computer. If we were for sure moving in together within a year, I would seriously consider this...

2 Cases (kinda) for the price of two... Lol... But it would fill my needs, and would be a freaking monster.

I'd would say get a 900D but it's been done already. :-h

Why not grab a TJ11? I don't feel caselabs does a good job of designing their cases other then giving the huge option of modularity for steel/aluminium panels.

If I chose from caselabs I'd go either mercury s8 or th10a

as far as i know cas labs only has a micro atx cube but if you want a atx case that supports 4 way sli the corsair air 540 without a doubt

My reason for skipping the 900D is very simple. Brushed aluminum is crap. Computers get touched, computers get smudges, and if my computer is going to get my fingerprint etched into it, by just poking it? Yeah...

Manufacturers need to stop using brushed aluminium. It's terrible.

The TJ11 was skipped, because I hate the aesthetics. The rounded front, and the plasticy looking front, both are major turn offs.

Why not grab a TJ11?

TBH, before your suggestion, I didn't consider it at all. After looking at it, I looked at the price, and chuckled.

A Caselabs case is PURE aluminum, and is very friendly for modding, painting, and getting just the way you want it.

A Silverstone case is metal, and plastic, and is very generic, and made to have a computer put in it, and nothing else.

The CaseLabs SMA8, is cheaper than the TJ11. By like $100 if you go with a stock configuration. Even fully decked out the way I would buy it, it's the same price. :(

Not ripping on you for the suggestion, thanks a ton! Just giving a tid bit of my thoughts.

the SM8 is quaint and not so over the top. can be optioned nicely if you know
what you are wanting. can do 360/480 easily enough, but your build will look
tiny, due to the vastness.

built for EATX, as for color, i'd prefer the black (holds build themes easier than white)

but that choice is yours. PPCs has them in stock (no waiting for CaseLabs).

and if you need more rad space, the pedestal works really well.

ninja just went through his Caselabs phase (didn't like the experience) because

it was too big for building, wasn't happy about fit/finish, and others. i liked mine

but was time to move onto other things.

As far as the "You're build will look tiny" thing, I think if you don't watercool, or if you use a small Res, or a bay res, you run into the issue of your case looking empty.

However, I feel like these cases are made for watercooling, and for large reserviors. They're made for that hardware to be seen, and to look beautiful. I think these cases are the right size on the inside for the most part, as long as you're filling out the case, and putting the right amount of hardware on the inside, rather than buying a high end water cooling case, and only putting air cooling, or light watercooling into it.

These cases are definitly for a specilized market, just as most large cases are. <3 for the suggestion of PPCs, thanks! :D
