Is AMD Gaming Evolved a good software?

I have been looking into this program, which amd keeps going on about, and it looks alright, but everyone on the internet seems to think its bad. What are people's opinions on it?

Only thing I'd get it for is the Game DVR, everything else is pretty gimmicky.

Just like Nvidia's GeForce Experience, it's terribad. It adds some extra functionality, like recording gametime, chat etc... The main thing however, is that it can alter game settings with a couple mouse clicks, in an attempt to optimize the settings for your hardware. I tried it and it kept getting it wrong, either it would turn things down in something i can run maxed out smoothly, or put things on max when my my rig can't handle it. (mainly single core games like SWTOR, WoT)

I find that just going into your game's settings and adjusting things manually is simple enough. You should be able to gauge how well you'll run something based upon past experience in gaming with your hardware.

It has nothing going for it imo.
