So... I'm deciding to build my first ever high budget build (around $6000 max) it'll be Z97 build, however I'm not sure what Motherboard to go for... it seems the 'Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming' is good... however I'd prefer Asus Maximus VII extreme because Im heard great stuff about the ROG series and the Maximus VI was apparently awesome, however I havent seen any dates about releases for the VII... should I wait? Or will the Gigabyte be enough/ a better option.

Thanks

Don't bother, the Gigabyte Z97-SLI is a great motherboard. Also, what location are you at.

With a budget that high you should be looking at X79 Platform to be honest.

Yeah I thought the same at first. However after watching some of Linus' videos I found that X79 is not great when it comes to gaming and may not be worth the money. + I may spend like $1000 (around £800 here) on that new LG 34UM95 monitor. If not then Ill go with the Asus 27" PB

hate to tell you

but Asus Maximus VII extreme is not coming

only the Formula 7 is the highest tier for the Asus Maximus range

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
