Intel estimated that 70% of their 4770K's will  be able to reach 4.5 GHz. I think mine is the 30%. I can't reach 4.1 GHz at 1.168V.

My GTX 770 however, reached 1200 MHz and 7500 MHz on the memory. It's probably one of the magical chips. I can go more, but at the moment, I'm here to post this. Look at the speeds on the right. The first one is ref. speed, second is mild OC and the third is ^.

You should be able to push the voltage higher with a H60 I think. Also, 1200mhz is pretty normal for a 770 to my understanding.

That 70% claim is total BS. No way. 4770k's just don't overclock that well AFAIK.

Isn't that quite an average OC for 770? Most come out of box at 1100MHz+

The asus 680 dc2t boosts by default to 1254MHz, I had them running at 1293MHz with the stock voltage/power and the memory at 7600MHz. Putting it at 1.21V it did ~1340MHz. I think that card could match a 780 but I returned it because it coil whined and got a 3930k for it.

About that 70% claim, pfff not even worth to argue about.

My 7950 started having huge coilwhine just after I voided the warranty :/

How did you void the warranty?

Was going to paint it white, has a sticker over the screw (thanks MSI!) and my usual method of using pliers to loosen the screw didn't work so I just put a hole straight through the sticker..

Well I've heard things like a waterblock that usually applies more pressure to the chokes fixed the coil whine. If your heatsink touches the chokes you could try applying more pressure. If you're going to buy a new card, it might coil whine as well. I probably have tried over 15 gpu's came all with coil whine except 1.

I'll try re-mount it at some point, but it coil whines at the Desktop which is the most annoying bit :P

Rofl never seen that happening but why not get a passive 750ti if you only play mmo/rts? :P

With what money? :o Just spent it all making up for a wasted G3258 purchase

I'm a powerhog I'd be upset to lose my teraflops :(

Are the passive ones dual or triple slot anyway as that'd be the most important bit :P

Sell 7950? :P You could swap it for the asus 280 strix that turns the fans off at idle. There's also a strix coming out for the 750ti

They seem to be a 1.5 slot: http://media.bestofmicro.com/passive-geforce-gtx-750-ti-cooling,O-V-423391-22.jpg
