I am selling my laptop & my desktop...

Wiz Khalifa

Hey, I decided that I want to sell my computers (laptop & desktop). The specs for my desktop are:

  • Intel Core i5 2500K
  • Gigabyte P67a-UD4-B3
  • Kingston HyperX RAM 8GB 1600MHz
  • Samsung DVD Burner
  • MSI Twin Frozr III Radeon HD 6950 1GD5 Power Edition (can be flashed to 6970)
  • Corsair TX650M Semi-Modular PSU
  • Bitfenix Shinobi ATX Case

The specs for my laptop are:

  • Acer 5745DG-6681
  • Intel Core i5 480m
  • 4GB Nanya Tech Memory 1333MHz
  • Nvidia Geforce GT 425m (great overclocker)
  • Blu-Ray Drive
  • Has a built in 3D transmitter
  • Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Drive
  • Windows 8 Professional

I do need money for decent computers and the only way I can get them is by selling these computers at the right price.

So, I need help deciding a price for my desktop. For my laptop I was deciding on $899. At NCIX the price for my laptop is $1299.99 (with i7 but with terrible hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium)

I also am throwing in a Swiss Army Laptop Bag with my laptop too. What should I change? Thanks

the desktop, i would say maybe like $700? im not entirely sure, they are decent specs, for your next build i would even salvage some of the pparts, like the ram and PSU. but that is just me.

i5 3570 | MSI GD-65 Gaming | OCZ Vertex 60gb ssd | WD Green 1TB HDD | NZXT Phantom | TP-Link Wifi card | H100 | 5850

If you are trying to build a better PC, imo it would be better to use the same parts. Things like the PSU, ram etc can defo be reused depending on what you go for so plan the new build out and see what you mean. You may end  up saving money!

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Laptop is worth about 400 maybe 500 max.  As for the desktop, i'd say an eBay market value of 500-700.

Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

agree with Joel, you should totally use the memory, power supply, and maybe even the dvd burner for your next build, and maybe sell the rest of the parts separate. otherwise, 700-750 is the cheapest I would go.

AMD FX 8350 8-Core CPU (Stock 4GHz) | Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 | (Rev. 4.0) | 8GB 1600MHz HyperX Fury | AMD R9 270 (MSI Gaming OC Edition) | NZXT H440 (White) | Kingston 120GB SSDnow V300 | Seagate Barracuda 1TB (7200 RPM) | Corsair RM750m 750w Fully Modular Power Supply

Dell 23.6-Inch 1080p 60hz IPS Display | Corsair H100i AIO Liquid Cooler | Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard | Logitech G502 Proteus Core | iSymphony Wireless Stereo Speakers | Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Now I am considering selling it without the memory or power supply. Where should I sell it online?

Might be better off to part it out if you have the boxes. Also, Ebay would be a great site to sell it on. Kijiji might also work, but I don't think a lot of people go there looking for computer parts and it's local classifieds.
