My question is that can two windforce R9 290X crossfired handle one 4k monitor? if so would the frams rate be ok? I'm clueless about grafics cards if you cant tell already.

Yes, you won't get 60fps in all games, but a pair of 290X is capable of playing games in 4K.

Dropping the AA a bit should probably do the trick for an enjoyable experience. Yes, CF 290x's are very capable for gaming at UHD.

only by a few fps and the 780Ti are way more expensive

 

but 4k gaming needs a lot of VRAM buddy

 

those 780Ti can't run 4k Ultra without hitting the VRAM bottleneck

that is true, plus for some reason there is a good price drop and falling prices for everythin right now. Thanks for all yalls help though!!
