Which PSU is better ?

Go to solution Solved by CowsGoRoar,

Seasonic. The CX series for Corsair is for entry-level builds, while I can trust Seasonic for any thing. ( Every power supply has the same high end capacitors.)

Seasonic...they're one of the OEMs for Corsair.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

The Corsair unit is a Channel Well Technology OEM which is of good quality, some of Corsair's top OEMs are CWT, Flextronics and Seasonic.

My vote also goes to the Seasonic unit on this occasion because they still use some high end parts inside lower end units.

Better for what? Better for price? Better built? Better rep?

The Corsair is their "builder" line. It's good for the price. It's solid, reliable but boring. The Seasonic has an incredible rep but funnily enough, Seasonic seems to make better psu's for others than on their own name. I've heard of problems with fitting and of specs not actually meeting stated stats. It's mostly really nitpicky things tho. Neither should give you problems. I'd also look at EVGA and Be Quiet! psu's, especially when there are sales. Go for the cheapest.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

The most common issue with Seasonic units is coil whine.
