Hi, just been playing some DOTA 2 and was wondering if anyone fancied playing together?

I'm after as many players as we can get to organise playing together say once a week. I am quite happy to organise and host the games and find times to suit everyone. That's why I am after more than five people, so those that are unavailable could be rotated out and things like that (or maybe a 5 v 5, if we get 10 people). Of course if anyone more experienced wants to be in charge, be my guest. As it'd be regular we could create a steam group for everyone to join and post the dates, of course, it'd be best to see how much attention this gets first.

Also any experience is welcome. I've only put a few hours in my self. If your completely new to the game but want somewhere to learn the ropes, this could be that place. Any experienced players would need to be quite tolerant and patient too and be willing to help new guys out. This would be a play-for-fun not a play-to-win.

So if you enjoy DOTA 2 (or think you may do) reply below and if the feedback is good, I'll go ahead and create a Steam group. Again, it'd be looking at playing once a week to start with, and you would need to be able to dedicate a good 60-90 minutes to it so we don't have people leaving mid-match.

If you are completely new, try to find time to complete the tutorial, just so you know the fundamentals.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm not sure if there is already a group like this, but it'd be good to play with a few regulars. It' a hard game to crack in to, and doing it with supporting players helps a lot more than being hounded at down the mic for being a noob from randomers.

I started playing DOTA 2 three months ago. Only have under 200 hours of play time though. I don't usually play with a group since most of my friends are usually too tired from work. At most, I group with 1 or 2 other people. Most of the time I just play pub games. Only problem is I've decided to mute the mic chatter for good in pub games.

I don't have a mic atm...can I join anyways? I'm not a great player, but if you guys are still, say, level 15-10 or below, than I can probably play nicely.

I only have a couple of hours and lots of practice to do. Feel free to join, no mic is needed.

That'd be nice. Look me up if you need an extra member in a group. My Steam ID is SymphonyX8. I usually play as a nuker, disabler or support. I rarely play carry, if ever, just semi-carry. I can barely break 500 gold/min as a carry, so I shy away from hard carries.

We played with twoscoops the other day (plz dont feed riki thx) and it was fun. Like i told, i was riki and the other team was just feeding me. I was lvl 18 and 20 mins in-game clock xD i could be as teacher/coach since i kinda know stuff about dota. We should first just play against bots since i know how they attack and stuff. When you are good enough, we could try me + bots, against you guys. Dont know how the bots work on captains mode when there is multiple players, or we just go with all pick. When you huys have time so we all could train?

Not yet, me and JantsoP played with Razer comma and it was quite good with the overlay. If anyone has a TS it'd be good to use.

I'm away from my PC for a week.the steam group is above which you can join or I could invite you when I get back.

Another thing to mention is that we are all in different time zones,so it may not be the most convenient times for everyone so hopefully this won't matter,I'll organise when we get back. It will be organised through the group so even if you're semi-interested please join the group.

Done some reading since we last played about countering and stuff. Should be playing a lot better next time. Cheers for being patient, we'll definitely set up some bot matches to train.

I've never actually tried the other formats before. I've only played All-Pick. As for playing against bots, it is kinda boring. I played with a friend in a co-op bot match once as he was reduced to low priority matchmaking because he got disconnected two matches in a row, which was unfortunate as his internet was having issues that day. It was boring as hell since the AI, even on hard mode, is very predictable. I will admit though that the AI can time certain things perfectly like Death Prophet's Silence or certain stuns where it's borderline ridiculous. But most of the time playing against bots alone is just hard because the bots on your team are relatively stupid. If you team people up against bots, it's rather easy, even in hard mode.

I'm not saying bot practice is useless, I'm just saying it's boring if it's a group of people vs bots. I still play bots to test out various builds and time how fast I can do certain things. Also, I never, ever test run a hero I don't know in matchmaking. I make sure I've played that hero with bots before. If I want to random in matchmaking, I ask my teammates first if they're okay with it as it's risky.

I think Jantso was more or less aiming this at people like me sub <10 hours and was offering to give us some basic info and help as this group is open for absolutely everyone. I'll definitely take him up on his offer and anyone else can to, it'd be extra if you want to meet everyone out of a game

Oh. I see. Hard bots are still very difficult for new players, even on an all-human team.

I've also been out for while and have been posting on LTT using my mobile internet. I won't be able to play with anyone for a few more days. I dare not play online games using mobile internet.

BTW, anyone here who uses Invoker frequently? I don't know if it's just me or if his early game is pathetically weak aside from the surprise Sunstrike that can net easy kills (level 2 exort - 175 pure damage global nuke. No one is safe). I think I play him well with either QW build or the traditional QE build (which was nerfed big time), but I always find myself outmatched in a 1v1, even against carries. That isn't supposed to be the case early game. That's why I'm hesitant to roam or gank even if it's supposed to be the mid's job, in addition to his abysmal move speed.
