can you oc that cpu, whats that mobo?

what cpu cooler you have?

If you just buy cpu cooler and OC a bit, then you dont need to buy new.

i feel like cpu is limiting me in Battlefield 4

Are you sure your mobo doesn't support it? Not even with a bios update? What mobo do you have?

I did the same upgrade last year and I'm happy with it. I already had a mobo that supported it, though.

Overall, if you feel like the CPU is limiting you, you could look in to upgrading. If everything's working fine, I don't see a reason to upgrade.

I checked ASUS website and it doesnt support it.

voltage is at auto at bios. when i look at cpuz, voltage is 1.37-1.45 changing. maybe this is the reason why its not stable and i didnt try 7/24 i just did 1-2 hours stress testing

Oc'ing the cpu a bit might help.

learn to overclock it to 3500mhz (250*14) and be done with it, if your gaming performance isnt goon enough for you then you need a new gpu.
otherwise rock on!

edit-well its not bottlenecking you so you're gpu limited.
i get that score with a phenom quad at 4ghz (give or take) and that hasnt held be back at any point.

There is nothing better to upgrade to and would require a new motherboard. You might want to look into an i3/new motherboard if your looking for an upgrade, or even try to find an i5 on sale or used.

idk. im still using my phenom 1045t in my 2nd rig and it's serving me well in games. for editing, i use my main rig, but if you're just gaming with that 760, not sure how much of a gain will be achieved jumping to an 8350 or an i5/i7. An overclock definitely helps and keeps it rock solid in performances.

why would i "upgrade" to i3 from phenom ii x6?

You said you were tight on a budget, so an i3 would be slightly better than the phenom, and will give you upgrading options to the most popular gaming chip (i5). I would strongly recommend with that setup you jump directly into an i5 if possible, it will save you money in the long run:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($196.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H87 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($92.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $281.01
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Of coarse that doesn't comply with your original request, that's why I said to try to find a used i5 locally.
