Sooooooooo, i have the A10-7850k.

Whenever i look for OC guides i just see people complaining how they cant OC or get 4.7Ghz, and 1Ghz GPU etc..

Like i got 4.1Ghz but able to go up to 4.5Ghz, any higher it crashes and won't start etc.

And my GPU i OC to 1020Mhz and i can go higher to 1280Mhz ish but its unstable and crashes.

Anyone know or have any links on how to OC the A10-7850k, and in Detail etc talking about the volts and settings and timings for ram and bla bla.

quick google shows quite a few guides

for extreme OC

do it for one side and not both CPU and GPU at the same time

the most heat generating is the GPU cores in the die

need to keep both CPU and GPU temps in check

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

So just that I get this right: You can overclock your CPU to 4.5GHz stable and your GPU to 1020GHz stable? And you are not content with it? These are good overclockings and you won't be able to go higher because it just won't be possible. Only because some people get 4.7GHz or even more doesn't mean you can. There are always CPUs that will overclock better and there are CPUs that will overclock worse. It's just the normal quality spread and with 4.5GHz you aren't lucky, but also you aren't unlucky.

Not quite, I can get it to 4.5 and its fairly stable but it performs less then my 4.1ghz OC.

And 1020Mhz on GPU is very stable, much better GPU performances compared to stock.

but I can't to OC my CPU properly since i only used the multiplier and changed a few minor settings and basically set my GPU to manual and increased to clock to 1020 Mhz. i've only changed my Volts on my RAM. My CPU volts are left on Auto.

Also my RAM timing are the defult profile ones, changing the RAM timing should help the iGPU since it used my system RAM.

highest I have seen so far

but I can bet he got a nice APU to begin with or he use Watercooling

1.44V is quite good

like I said

drop the GPU clock back to stock and clock up the CPU side only

Can you post some links? Cos i cant find any good detailed ones, just them basicly saying what clock speeds, nothing about volts, and multipliers and FSB etc

now i see the problem

you will need to to manual tuning of the CPU voltage

do it bit by bit

Yeah, but you basically cant go above 4.5ghz due to temps, so you really need really good cooling. I want to OC my CPU to 4.5 and have it stable. On PerfomanceTest, 4100Mhz performance better at 3700 Mhz and 4200-4500Mhz. So i want to try to get the stable.

Will look at them now. With my RAM i leave them as the default profile, 2133Mhz. and when using my NB i get weird issues.

Default FSB is 100Mhz, i can get it up to 140 Mhz at 8x multiplier but crashes sometimes when i change it, managed to get it to something like 23x multiplayer.

But when changing my FSB my second monitor stop displaying during boot. Upto 120Mhz my second monitor is fine but above that my second monitor display get messed up and starts to no display anything, but i can display at 140mhz but not at 135mhz etc.

my NB (this controls the RAM and stuff right maybe..? its 03:00 ;( I find it dificult and have to have it at a 1:1.25 ratio no matter what. But my MB only allows in 100Mhz increasments, so i can have like 1250 or 1220 etc.

it late for me, im in the UK so im geting confued lol so i think u understand even if my terms are a wee bit off :D

Also i cant use AMD overdrive since its not compatible with my MB......................... and just instanrtly crashes my system on start up

yeah its the ASUS A88XM Plus, i can't remember where i saw it but apparently AMD overdrive doesn't support my MB but it does the A85 models.

Although i can use the AMD CCC AMD Overdrive for CPU

yes for the newer A88X

only the Pro and Plus ATX version supports GPU boost

I see Asus has A88XM-PLUS BIOS 1601 version

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XMPLUS/HelpDesk_Download/

said to improve system stability

I will suggest doing a backup of the BIOS before you update it

may help you to do better OC
