youtube WTH

is it just me or has YouTube lately being more  of a dick then normal?

 

I'm in Australia and apart from our crappy speed isp I've had no real YouTube playback issues until now that is

now it keeps putting a blue banner below the video asking if I having any video playback issues , a lot buffering etc and click to see why > basically saying i got a crap isp get a better one, will doh why haven't i thought of that ....

 

funny thing is I usually watch my stuff late at night early morning without any hassles via my media pc, hard wired to my router, plugged into a 50" tv playing at 1080p . YouTube is trying to tell me to watch my stuff at 320p that be great on my isp speed , like really that be cool right ....

 

my tin hat theory....amerika isp's are trying to get YouTube to cough up some money to cover the high data usage of all those youtbers watching their cat/dog whatever videos and to help themselves are trying to cut back on the total data being watched instead ......

Australia most likely has its own caching servers so I don't think you can blame Merica for this one matey.

just funny timing that i never had issues before but now that the tube added the little problem banner i am  lol

That problem banner was added over a year ago.

This is definitely a problem with your connection. Have you checked your download speed at speedtest.net? is it the same as before?
