Did you even read that topic? It was caused by a faulty power supply. ANY card will catch on fire if you put too much voltage through it. >.< facepalm

PC case at a higher elevation than my head. You'd be surprised how many people put them on a shelf on the wall. Usually at eye level. Meaning when they sit down, they look up at it.

It's very unsafe to put a 50-100 pound PC on a shelf.......

Depends on the shelf. Depends on a lot really. 

Then there is the question of "Why care about the GPU at all if you will never see it?" If this is a thread about how sexy it looks (and it mostly does), then all of it must be considered. Not just the side that faces the side panel.

Then there is the question of "Why care about the GPU at all if you will never see it?" If this is a thread about how sexy it looks (and it mostly does), then all of it must be considered. Not just the side that faces the side panel. 

Most people have the PC on their desk or on the ground in which case you only see the side and the backplate.
