Getting rid of the file explorer grey bar line

It seems that I must reply to mark it as my own answer.

 

So apparently IE is usefull, open a windowed IE and right click the title bar then click "Lock the toolbars".

Hi,

 

I have bought an Asus G750 since I'll be traveling, it's running Windows 8.1.

 

I'd like to get rid of a gray bar that seems resizeable when I put the cursor on it but that doesn't seem to do anything, here is a screen shot on the Asus laptop and another on my desktop:

As you can see the second one doesn't have that grey bar.
