Hi all,

I've had my razer Blackwidow ultimate 2014 for about 2 weeks now and it's worked just fine. However, now I've noticed when I press the "2" key, it displays it twice evern though I've onot pressed the key once. So by pressing "2" , it appears as "22". Does anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks!

How would I take out the key safely?

If I recall correctly, the Black Widow series are known for having key issues like this (among many others) [and a quick google search seems to confirm this]

My recommendation would be to return the board if possible, and pick a mechanical keyboard outside of Razer.

The safest way to remove keys is with a key puller such as this

The switch is either dirty or faulty. After removing the keycap, press down on the switch and apply pressured air to try and clean it. If it keeps happening you should try to replace it.

Okay nevermind Semper beat me too it :P You could ghetto make your own as well. Like this

Want a way to take them out even more ghetto ?

Step 1 - You must Have 2 finger

Step 2 - Use those 2 fingers to pull the key

Step 2.5 - Mashing all sorrounding keys

Step 3 - ???

Step 4 - Profit

That works also I just use get a spoon or a knife and use the non serrated side to just pop it off.

I prefer using a plastic card since there's less risk of scratching, but a spoon would work too :)

Thank you so much! I've not seen this video for ages, it's made my day a lot better.

But Then again OP , if the keyboard is in warranty i would RMA it , if you dont want to have the problem of taking out the keys

I agree if you don't feel comfortable taking keys out then this is the way to go.

That would also work, except for me the only plastic cards I have are my bank card, my driving license and my work access card, I can't afford to break any of them ;P

Ok I removed the key using a makeshift tool out of a paper clip. The switch looked fine and it still would have the same problem. I think I'm just going to return it.

If cleaning under the cap and stuff didn't fix it then yes you should get in touch with Razer and ask to RMA it
