i am leaning towards this one: http://www.asus.com.au/Optical_Storage/Internal_Bluray_Drive/BW12B1ST/  for $119 but there is also this one: http://www.lg.com/us/data-storage/lg-BH16NS40 which is also $30 cheaper for $89. questions for both. will this run 3d games as well? i know it says 3d movies but it doesn't specify games. i will be playing movies and games with the asus gtx geforce  680 4gb direct cu2 with an asus VG24QE 24in widescreen 144hz 3d monitor through the nivida 3d vision 2 glasses.. i know everything else is compatibleare but are these drives as well and which is better? if their is a better one i am open to suggestions and better options.

games will be ran off the computer itself. I would suggest the cheapest one that does what you want it to.

CPU: AMD FX 6300 @4.2GHZ | MSI 970A-G 46| Gskill Sniper 2X4GB 2400| Samsung 840 EVO 120GB| NZXT Phantom 410 gunmetal|

Apevia 680W Iceberg| HIS R9-270X| WD green 3TB|

The cheaper ones, and the optical drive doesnt need 3d to be able to install a game that supports 3d its all done by your monitor and some from the hardware.

and why are you still installing games using disks? theres steam for a reason :)

and why do you need a optical drive? do you watch movies a lot? why not just get a bluray dvd player if all you need it for is movies, it would be cheaper and you wouldn't have a optical drive :)

i5 3570 | MSI GD-65 Gaming | OCZ Vertex 60gb ssd | WD Green 1TB HDD | NZXT Phantom | TP-Link Wifi card | H100 | 5850

I'll probably go for the LG one then and for those asking why i need an optical drive mainly for movies or games i buy non-steam for example Rome 2 collectors edition and old goldies like age of empires and the sort. :) PS thanks for all the quick replies guys.
