Hello, everyone,

I posted a little while ago about a PC build, but I've changed several things, and I wanted some new opinions. I am pretty confident about my choices, but I might as well check with some other builders.

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/profangshd/saved/GsHRsY

USES: Gaming, Music Production (and of course everyday use)

Not trying for overkill, but I do want to be able to run almost all games smoothly at a high graphics quality. I also just want a fast computer for everything I would want to do!

Using USD as currency

Also, this is my first build.

Thank you!

Looks nice, but what are your main uses for the machine?

Your CPU is very strong and the system is unbalanced in terms of CPU to GPU performance, I'm thinking perhaps money could be moved around a bit to accommodate your needs better if we know what they are.

Edited the original post, thank you. I thought the 270x was pretty high end? About the same as a 760, I've heard (but $50 cheaper). The MSI card got really good reviews (that I saw anyway).

the 270X does trade blows with the GTX760

if you can stretch the budget a bit and drop the DVD drive and get the OS key with the link given

you can get a 280X which is way more powerful than the 270X

I think I prefer Windows 7 (although I have hardly used WIN 8 and my current laptop has WIN 7) but I guess that would be a way to save some money. Also what is that website, I've never heard of it.

I figured that I might as well get the drive in case I needed it at some point, and it's only around $20, but same with above, I guess.

I would like to pay less if possible, even if I paid less for the OS and eliminated the 5.25" drive, I might not upgrade to the 280x, except for this card: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9280atdfd ? Why is this card so inexpensive? I know it's not the 280x just the 280 but still...

Is it worth it to get the 280x because I would like to pay less if possible, even if I paid less for the OS and eliminated the 5.25" drive.

with the 280X you will be able to max out games at 1080P

DVD drive can be bought and install later

better to buy a more powerful GPU then buy another GPU later if you go for the 270X

Why is that card so inexpensive? I know it's not the X version but still only a tiny bit more than the 270x? I guess if it's a good card then it's a great deal. Thanks for the reply!

its an ok card but best stick to the sapphire card. Xfx rma service is horrible which some user experienced. See if you can can find a 280x for sale coz it actually a hd7970 which can trade blows with the gtx770 and edge out in some games.
