when it comes to sound i'm completely clueless so anything can help

I saw a lot of people recommending 2.1 systems ; i got a question would it be possible to buy additional speakers later on and transform them in to a 5.1/7.1 or there aren't any "modular" audio systems ?

Check out the Z906 if that's your budget.

I'm partial against the boxed surround systems and Logitech audio systems because I've experienced them being of lower sound quality, albeit at a lower price.  Of what you posted, the Audioengines are the only ones I'd say are worth a space on your desk.

These are also pretty good: http://www.amazon.com/KRK-RP5G2-Powered-Monitor-Speaker/dp/B001A6G6CY/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1404693797&sr=1-1&keywords=krk

as are these:  http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Studiophile-Active-Monitor-Speakers/dp/B0051WAM64/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1404693867&sr=1-1&keywords=m+audio

Its been a couple weeks since I've been able to listen to either set so I don't really remember the which ones sounded better in which situations, but they traded blows with different varieties of music.

What I'd really recommend in you price range though, if you have room for a dedicated amplifier are these speakers: http://www.amazon.com/JBL-ES20-High-Performance-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00167340E/ref=sr_1_13?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1404694128&sr=1-13&keywords=jbl+studio,

paried with an amp like this:  http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PAMP1000-Channel-Stereo-Amplifier/dp/B002UL0XH2/ref=sr_1_17?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1404694554&sr=1-17

I'd recommend Klipsch speakers over the JBL, but they cost much more.
