Question on PC Stuff

After the bad storms in Indiana where I live my computer does this in the pic in the attachment. In the storm the electric went out a good amount of times and during that my PC went out three times. Now what I said before from pic it does that and that never happened before the bad storms. It could be the internet that I have is not good. Maybe because I have Windows 8.1 and it needs the internet to work well or not. This only happens now when there is bad internet connection when i first start it up on home screen and when I go back to Start Screen and then go back the screen is fine. Would there be anything wrong with my computer parts or monitor? The HHD and SSD is ok, but IDK on the other stuff.

Okay, I see the picture now. :)

 

I have never seen this problem before, not in the way it is happening to you. I've seen a GPU get fried during a storm and continuously make the display look like that, but not where it could be "removed". Do you have another monitor you could try? Seems like it might be pointless but if you do, have you already tested it as the possible problem?

I have never seen this problem before, not in the way it is happening to you. I've seen a GPU get fried during a storm and continuously make the display look like that, but not where it could be "removed". Do you have another monitor you could try? Seems like it might be pointless but if you do, have you already tested it as the possible problem?

I don't really have another monitor to do that.

Can you see if it is your GPU? I've seen a GPU malfunctioning do this before, so your card might have been damaged...

 

(hopefully someone else can come in and help, but to me it looks like it might be your card)

I have to wait to do that this Fall when I go back to college.

Yes I'm with my PC, but I have no tool to see if it has problem or not.

 

Can you try removing it from the case and booting off of integrated graphics?

Can you try removing it from the case and booting off of integrated graphics?

I never done that before so I don't know how you make it boot up into integrated graphics. I think it automatically does if I don't have a graphics card in my PC. Is that how you do it?

I think it should. If it doesn't put the card back in and go into the BIOS to set it to integrated.
