I'm going to build this at the end of the summer so I thought I would post this to see if any improvements could be made. I am open to ALL suggestions as long as they aren't just tearing my build apart saying i'm an awful person. :)

Following Uses:

1. Bragging Rights

2. Gaming

3. Multi Tasking

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Davsmith4/saved/hmVD4D

Not including the monitors and peripherals buget is around $1800.

Why didn't you use the export function?

0/10 system is for bragging rights and no 780ti

I don't have any real things to shit on.

I had the Formula debate in Motherboard Forums and I like it. I know i'm overpaying for it but it goes with the rig.

Just out of curiosity, can the single 780 support triple 1080p monitors, or would you mostly be using that display setup for utility purposes and not actually gaming on it?

cheapest fully modular one but evgas psus are amazing

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g10750xr

I'd switch out the Motherboard for a cheaper one (less than $200) and get a 780Ti.

he said he wont :(

If your build is that expensive you should really go for a 780ti or Titan and I don't think the sound card is necessary.

My Build

 - i5 4670k @ 4.4GHz - MSI z87m Mobo - 16Gb 1866MHz RAM - MSI R9 290 - Samsung 840 EVO 250Gb - 2 x 1Tb WD Blue - CX600m - H55 AIO cooler - Fractal Node 804 - Lg 25um64-s Ultrawide screen monitor -  http://pcpartpicker.com/user/colec18/saved/9FKXsY

Get the Asus ROG Z97 Hero, the maximus is just overspending by a lot.

Ditch the soundcard and get another pair of headphones, then add a modmic, the tiamat doesn't really offer much besides comfort and branding. The soundcard will be barely noticed against the really good audio the ROG motherboards have.

On a 3 monitor surround configuration, the 780 won't be able to max out many AAA titles, with that budget you can fit a 780ti, or R9 290X.
