Good Stand-Alone mic with low background noise.

I'm looking for a standalone microphone that has little to no background noise, I have a budget of about 250$.

I hear the Blue Yeti is DAMN good.

There's no bg noise in this test I'm listening to.

The Yeti picks up a lot of things including background noise condenser microphones generally do.

If you're worried about background noise then you gotta get the mic closer to your mouth. Modmic is pretty good at only picking up your voice. Any desktop mic will need a boomstand if you want to go that route.

What 'Beans said, assuming that you are referring to room noise and not noise floor.
