I'm instaling OS for my first time and i want to know if AVG antivirus will be good enough? I dont want to spend more money and i dont have any to spare for a real good antivirus.

I personally run MSE and then scan with malwarebytes on occasion. Both of which are free to use.

There are plenty of great free antiviruses out there like Avast and Malwarebytes you can try. I used AVG for a while, and when I did I didn't have a single problem. Try out the two I mentioned earlier, though. It may do just as good of a job that AVG would do.

But yeah, avast is good !

You you do have an antivirus. Windows firewall is an antivirus, just a really bad one.

You know what, while im thinking about it, why not just install avast :P

Yep it's fine for most users. and I can reccomend doing a scan with malwarebytes every half year or so.

AVG is a good option. I would not recommend MSE on Windows 7 (or XP God forbid), but Avast is great and MBAM is useful for scanning your PC occasionally to ensure nothing slipped past.
