old mobo new gpu?

Could be some issues, because it looks like PCI Express x16 1.1, not 2.0. It can make some problems, because there are some GPUs, that do not work on 1.1. And do not tell me they are backwards compatible - they are not always like that.

it will work but you GPU will have a performance cap because of the PCI-E bandwidth

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
