Unable to install Windows on an external drive?

AlwaysFSX

I get the following error when trying to install Windows 7 on a partition made on my external hard drive:

It's a Home Premium 64 bit *.iso on my usb, trying to install on a 256 GB partition. I've got no clue how to get this to work.

Have to plug it in internally and install it. Even then, it'll throw a fit every time you boot it on different hardware.

That is currently not an option, the screws for the internal drive are stripped. :(

In short, you're boned then. Maybe use a linux distro if you just need a mobile OS?

Imagine how slow windows would be on a USB 2.0 or 3.0 drive :o

Faster than its current hard drive, I can tell you that much.
