hey everyone!

 

so my brother has a fx 6300, and a Asus Mobo. he has a hyper 212 evo on it, but right now it is stock. because its not my own hardware, I dont want to just hop into the bios and start dinking around. 

 

can anyone point me towards a guide, or explain the steps to overclock this? I quick google couldnt help.

Not identical as it will change with each motherboard. Overclocking is very simple though. Adjust the multiplier, then test to see if it's stable. If it is, adjust a little higher and test again, if not, back off a little and test until it's stable. You can adjust the voltage to get higher clock speeds, but it's best to avoid it unless you know what you're doing.

okay. Same as gpu essentially. I was curious because theres other things you see being diasbled and enabled in other guides.

There are some more advanced things you can do, but it's essentially just increasing the multiplier.
