So I'm building a gaming PC that I want to try and keep around $1,100 US and I'm having trouble finding a motherboard with the feature set I want. It doesn't have to be in the "Gaming" category, especially as those tend to be more expensive. I'm trying to find one around $150 with my primary concerns being: Over-clocking, and since I'm over-clocking, good fan controls for the CPU and Case. I've seen many build videos of people using Asus's ROG boards and it's software but those even in Z87 are around $200 from what I have been able to find. Oh yeah and I'm using an LGA1150 socket.

To be exact: Either the i5 4670k or of the board is Z97 the 4690k. Also, to add on to what I said about Asus's ROG boards, the ROG software seems to work really well for fan control, but of course ROG boards are over-budget unless on a $50 sale :/

Forgot to mention I'm looking for ATX.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I would actually prefer 4690k as at Micro Center I can actually get it cheaper than the 4670k on New Egg.

Do you have this board or any other MSI board? If so, how is the software? Like I said, I'm interested in good fan control.

the bios is very easy to understand and you use your mouse to change settings. I build system using msi and none have major issues. Fan control for msi is called easy fan.

Thanks, I'll probably end up going with the board you recommended. Really glad it's not black and red. After researching for a few hours and everything (not really but still, it's annoying) being black and red I was looking for something different :)
