new build final thoughts

Yes I know the mobo will be a little awqwered in the case, however i dont mind that. The reason i went for a micro atx is because it is cheaper than the bigger boards. Also i am using my pc for gaming.

cheap and compact? is it not a good idea then?

It's not compact since the case is still a mid tower. The parts are compatible but the matx motherboard in the mid tower is awkward.

Dominator Platiums are a waste of money for anything but looks. Ram is ram and there are cheaper 8GB kits available.

What's the system being used for?

But you went for expensive Ram. The Corsair Dominator is totally unnecessary. I would go for a cheaper low profile kit.

Maybe something like this -  http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cml8gx3m2a1866c9r

You can then put the money towards a full size ATX board - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97gaming3

Then swap the cpu for the current i5 - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54690k
