the came is currently running on a seagate 1tb sshd

dont know the model but speeds run at 50mb/s

Those are pretty low speeds, did you check SMART to see if it's defective/dying? (with something like Crystaldiskinfo) Check the SATA cable too

Also, switch to max performance in video settings. 

im using a mod called optifine which can make the render distance huge for big vram cards

I think optifine also has the option to limit your fps, did you check your settings?

Also You try sector check with HD Tune (free version) on all HDDs, it's useful to prevent data corruption

also which one is the SSD? or are you using the integrated SSD in the SSHD as cache? Did you defrag the SSD (NEVER do that...)?

And looking at the seek error rate, that might explain that poor performance and it's an indicator that in a future the head would stuck

Get HD Tune (free version) then "Error scan" tab

The 500 GB drive isn't the problem, Most like the performance drop is caused by SSHD's head

If it shows damaged sectors then you'd do a backup as soon as you can.

If it doesn't, try running MC (installing java and all that crap, don't forget to change MC files folder too in the launcher) in a different drive (different than C:\ and H:\ (SSHD)). That SSHD has a bad head, you'd get a different drive or RMA it.
