I'm going to be building a new computer here in the next year and I'll need some advice on colour coordination. I'll be saving up about $2500 USD, give or take, to make a computer that will allow me to multitask demanding software and games. Since I am going to be spending so much on the one computer I figured I might jump on the forum to ask for others' opinions about the aesthetics. To alleviate some questions before I start, the purpose of this computer is to, firstly, carry me through engineering in college with adequate power, allow me to use 3D animation and video rendering/editing software, CAD software and a some games such as; Skyrim, Watch Dogs, and GTA.

The following list is subject to change. All prices are in US dollars.

Computer

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K  -  $339.99@ Newegg

Motherboard: MSI Z97-GD65 Gaming  -  $169.99@ Newegg

Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX 780ti

Cooling: A closed loop water cooling solution from any manufacturer

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB  -  $84.99@ Newegg

SSD: HyperX 120GB SSD  -  $74.99@ Newegg

Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)  -  $152.99@ Newegg

PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 850W  -  $149.99@ Newegg

Case: Black and red NZXT H440  -  $119.99@ Newegg

Lights: NZXT Sleeved LED Strip  -  $13.99@ Newegg

Peripherals

Monitors:  2 1080p monitors preferably ASUS

Keyboard: Tesoro Lobera Supreme (brown switches)  -  $139.99@ Newegg

I'm not biased towards Newegg (I kinda am) but I found most of the parts on there and I only want to pay for shipping once.

I have not decided on a brand for every single item and left it up to whoever wants to help me out with the main problem. The idea is not to break the bank but also make it look as nice as a two and a half grand machine should. Any help is greatly appreciated!

since you mentioned you will only buy the system next year

suggest you wait for more part to come by In Dec and decide from there

hopefully newer GPUs will be out and plenty of new SSD models coming your way too

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Put HDDs and SSDs on seperate lines in the future, OP. @Sturalke

I've been waiting for the better part of a year already so I am no stranger to changing this particular parts list.

I'd suggest planning later. ~2-3 days at most before you buy. Parts and prices change frequently so any parts list you come up with now will likely be obsolete by the time you're ready to buy.
