Surely this cant be right?

Go to solution Solved by TheRetiredSlave,

The Newegg one is listed as "open box", meaning it was sold to another customer who returned it.. It's not a brand-new card.

So I'm browsing for GPU's and seeing where I can get a R9 290/x for £300 or less. I've found this on Newegg but when I typed it up in Amazon there's a huge price difference!

I would say the first one is a good deal, while the second one is ridiculously expensive.

The cost of shipping to the UK pretty much makes that deal irrelevant, for me it works out about £450 overall and on OCUK it is about £370 overall.

Thanks, I knew there was something fishy about it, just didn't seem right.

Also do you think it's worth the risk?

I'd still trust it, look it's being sold by newegg meaning it still has waranties with them and such :P worst comes to worst you have to deal with a newegg RMA

With taxes and shipping it'll cost me around £364 so I wont bother my budget is £300

then why ask:

Also do you think it's worth the risk?

it implies you could take the "risk" and why were you even looking at this if your budgets lower than it would cost... and since when do you pay taxes from an online retailer? and you can get free(but slow) shipping on newegg at least here in the (insert where I am)

If you look I posted is it worth the risk before I checked what it would cost me with shipping and YES TAXES. I stay in the UK so its different for me. http://gyazo.com/ef9abf029bd25a3dda7e64c306db87de
