Hi Guys

Ive got a core 2.4 core 2 duo tower at the moment. Ive got a Radeon 5450 sound card that can handle 3 monitors.

Im looking into doing stock market trading from home. And The sort of setup I want is to be able,to use a max of 4 monitors.

I want to be able to bring up different graphs etc on different monitors. Rather than the one thing on all the monitors.

Could you answer the following questions

A) What sort of speed Broadband wise would be best to go for(Id really like to go with Virgin media by the way)?

B) Could you recommend any Graphic card models that can handle up to 4 outputs?

C) Would a monitor splitter just give me the same thing on each monitor?

Could you please explain the answers to these questions in nice plain english,in other words keep the technical stuff

to a minimum.

Many Thanks for your help

You will want the smallest latency and greatest reliability possible. A normal consumer grade connection is not going to give you that. I would recommend a 10mbps leased line. Virgin will do leased lines up to 10gbps under 35KM in length.

As for a card that will support 4 monitors, a 780Ti or HD 7970 would do fine.

Most low end cards can't handle more than 2 monitors, they might have three connectors at the back, but they can only output two of them at any one time.

Now you can get graphics cards that can handle more displays, however they are typically higher end and therefore more expensive, alternatively you could always just add another 5450.

Yes, a splitter will just give you the same image on each monitor it is connected to.

Anything with low latency fiber optics

A set of CRT monitors would be best latency wise :P but good look with 4 of those on one card. Yes a splitter can only double the picture I believe, not create two separate ones.
