I upgraded my system  with a EVGA NEX750B PSU and a XFX R9 280X. Now with the majority of games I play I suffer absolutely no problems yet with a small selection of games I encounter total system shut downs with no warning etc and my system won't turn back on until I've waited around 10-15 mins minimum. Temps are fine on both cpu and gpu and all drivers up to date.

The software I have encounter this issue with so far are:

War Thunder

The Sims 3

Warface

3d mark 2013 demo

My system:

XFX R9 280X

AMD FX 8350

8GB Corsair Vengeance LP

EVGA NEX750B

ASUS M5 A99X EVO R2.0 Motherboard

All components are at stock settings

any help much appreciated

Thanks!

check your GPU temps using GPU-Z

install Unigine and test if your computer crash?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Temps are fine, that was the first thing that came to mind.

What I find interesting is it seems to happen on less demanding games, if it was a psu issue wouldn't it be more likely to happening on games with a higher demand on GPU? Also it always occurs during loading screen or in the case of 3d mark just before the end of the first test, seems very specific.

Thanks
