My screens keeps flashing rapidly when PC is under load.

I put this in General Discussion because i have no idea what the problem is.

Every time i play BF4 or any recourse intensive game my screen just starts flashing rapidly in random colors.

In game, it usually happens when i look one way or stand in a specific location. So if i look away or go stand 10 meters away its all normal again. It's never in the same place though.

Also on my normal desktop, when not using ANY recourse intensive program, sometimes a little square (4x4cm) pops up and random pixels inside that square start flashing in static colors.

My CPU temps reach about 73 when playing BF4 (i am aware this is alot but it should not bring many problems, right?) And my GPU runs about 60 degrees.

So maybe that's the problem, although i ONCE played CS:GO when the flasing happened, Although that game is nothing for my PC. I run it at like 250FPS so i don't know anymore.

And that doesnt explain the random square thing, Which can only be resolved by restarting my PC, UNLESS it happens inside my browser, which also sometimes happens, then i have to re-size the window and it goes away.

So what can this problem be? Don't say "buy a new CPU cooler" because that is my plan so no need in telling me.

It could be your GPU is overheating under load. What's the temps under full load?

Well, it's called screen flickering. It could be your GPU, as I already mentioned, or it can be your PSU not supplying adequate power under load.

That's either a problem with the graphics card, or your power supply is crap and it isn't supplying enough power.

Well, there are really 3 brands I would really trust because their PSUs are really reliable and efficient. EVGA, Corsair, and SeaSonic, IMO. Just some advice. These PSUs have 80+ ratings of at least Silver, so they are sure to keep peak power under load.

I have 1 old 450W PSU other than my main one. I dont think thats gonna work :P

80+ ratings do not translate into better quality. Yes they need better components to be efficient but there are plenty of 80+ certified or 80+ bronze PSU's that are really reliable

yeah makes sense i guess... Also by the way, Speedfan says that AUX is 66-120 degrees. what does that mean? It gets hotter under load, i suspect it to be a bugged temp but idk.

Aux 1? It probably means that it is getting hotter.

No, I have Aux 1,2 and 3 but the temp for AUX (without number) is very high all the time. Idk what it even means. Anyways, you're right, didn't think about the Troubleshooting subforum.
