Put it in windowed and windowed fullscreen mode and see if that fixes the issue. Try lowering the resolution. Try closing your browser after you launched the game.

I had tons of problems with BF3, BF4 ,BFH (All of which were GPU usage issues and freezing) a reinstall of windows fixed it. But I understand that is hard for some people for reasons. But I'm sorry that's all the help i can give, currently on windows 8 and in terms of performance my minimum FPS is better and GPU usage is great. but not too much of a difference from windows 7, which had lower minimums but the GPU usage was about identical.

Is this happening only in BF4? Do you have anything installed that might cause this issue? On screen display stuff like RivaTuner Statistics Server (MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, etc.) is known to cause issues with Battlefield 3 / 4.

Try deleting / renaming (just to back it up) C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Battlefield 4 if you can't access the settings. Should reset your settings back to default unless you tell Origin to use your cloud data.

It's a bit difficult to pin point the issue with the limited amount of info we have, so I would suggest starting with hardware testing in case of faulty hardware, bad OCs, etc.

Try running Prime95 for CPU and RAM and MSI Kombustor for GPU. I don't think temperatures are the issue here as it happens instantly. Unless your temperatures are too high even idle, that is.

Thank you for you very helpful input.

All temps are fine and i all i have in the way of OC's is that i have increased my power target on my GPU's , and i dont have any programs in the background like you said, i just tried the renaming/deleting thing but still no luck .... BF3 it is from now on for me i think lol, i really cant be bothered to re-install my OS just to play bf4 ..

Turn off the Cloud Sync thing, turn off Origin's in-game UI. That solved a lot of my problems with Battlefield 3.

Then uninstall the game and reinstall it. Then it should work.
