Intel stock coolers

Speedbird

Hello,

I'm wondering whether all the Intel Haswell CPUs come with the same cooler or are they different?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I'm wondering whether all the Intel Haswell CPUs come with the same cooler or are they different?

Thanks in advance.

All Intel products since about 2008 use the same coolers.

Thanks. I'm planning to overclock a Pentium G3258 and was wondering if the stock cooler was good enough.

Don't do it. Always best to use a aftermarket cooler.

It'll be good enough for a few megahertz, but I'd recommend a liquid cooler for overclocking.

Thanks. I'm planning to overclock a Pentium G3258 and was wondering if the stock cooler was good enough.

The Pentium G3258 has a copper core vs the aluminum core on most other low end processors, so depending on the chip you get you might be able to overclock it to ~4ghz on the stock cooler.

Could you suggest me one?

The hyper 212 Evo is a nice cheap heatsink.

@Rashy where can you even buy the hyper 212X in the U.S, U.K, or Canada?

To an extent. Get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, and then OC that puppy to the moon.

Hyper 212X or Corsair Hydro series

Would an H55 be good enough if I'm going to overclock it to 4.7GHz?

Any corsair Hydro series is usually really good. All Intel cpu coolers are meant to keep a stock chip cool and a only recommend staying with it if you are not doing any kind of overclocking. All Intel CPU's come with the fan except socket 2011 cpu's since if you are buying a extreme level cpu they except you to have a cooler.

No no no no. The CPU will not fit in that socket. You'll need a Z87 or Z97 motherboard for the CPU.

Edit: I'm an idiot thought he wrote P55.

It would depend on the voltage, but an H55 would probably get you to at least 4.4ghz if the chip can handle it.

For the price of an H55 you could get a Be Quiet Dark Rock 3.

Yeah and that's just about the only part of the world you can buy it in.

Literally, the few places that stocked it charged in RS (Indian Rupee).

I'd reccomend Cryorig r1 coolers. The universal for high profile RAM and the ultimate for low profile ram.

I own the ultimate on my i7 4790k and get amazing temps with it.
