Check that you have plugged the cable from the monitor into the correct slot, meaning, not in the motherboard but in the graphics card.

Did you bump your PC in any way when trying to move it? If so, have you checked that all components are firmly in place?  When removing and installing the RAM, did you take proper electrostatic precautions?

and with only the CPU and RAM installed with power supply connected try to boot to BIOS

If you can not access the BIOS and if you didn't touch any of the internal components while transporting the desktop, it's likely you sent shocks to the HDD while transporting it. HDDs are fragile, and even the slightest physical contact can ruin the HDD. Make sure all internal components are connected inside the computer. If your problem still din't face solution, try reassembling the computer. The next step would be trying to swap out the HDD with another and see if it boots. If you still hit the bottom line, either your motherboard is malfunctioning, or you've damaged your pc with static electricity. If you've ended this far, you have to research into buying a new PC.

Now you mentioned your data being important. If you think your HDD's fine, try plugging your HDD into another pc (with precaution) and see if your HDD is alive. If it's dead and the data is sincerly important like some legal documents or the last remaining pictires of your dog or etc, send it to a lab; although from my judgement, it seems like the "valuable" data is something that can be redownloaded in your case.

I hoped this helped, good luck.

try flashing your cmos by touching the connector on the mobo refer to the manual for this

this resets all of the BIOS settings on ur pc and it might work after doing so

if it doesnt you might have shorted out your ram or your GPU.

Hope u get it running

Hdds are not that fragile, the worst damage that can be done is when the drive is running, then it is bumped. If the drive is unpowered and it moves around there is hardly any room for concern. I've had drives for 5 years that have been thrown around, dropped etc. Guess what? They still work, because the platters weren't moving while the head tried to write data it didn't scratch any of them. Not to mention even if his hdd was bad that would NOT cause his computer to not even turn on, worst it would do is not allow him to boot. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Do you have on board graphics. If so try plugging the monitor there. If it boots the graphics card is the issue. Now make sure the the graphics cards is in the right place and fully inserted that you can't just accidentally take it off. Also check to make sure the GPU cable is not damaged if it is usually if you wiggle it it would work. Also describe what happens exactly after you press the power button. Also it might just be that if you took off the CPU it isn't seated correctly
