Hi Guys!

So I was about to order the Corsair K70 Brown from Amazon.com. My first Mechanical Keyboard.

1. I was wondering, are there any custom key caps that can replace a couple of the stock caps for the keyboard, any color or such.

2. Is it true that for beginners, Browns seem to be a good fit for FPS gaming and Typing?

Thank You!

1. Yes, usually any replacement keycap will fit the keyboard.

2. No, not exactly. The keyswitch is personal preference. If you are unsure of what switch you want, get something like this, then you can get a feel for each switch type.

I have one and it's a good way to know what switch you would really like to go with.

The switch tester you linked is out of stock, this will be back in stock in the next two days.

EDIT: apparently Max's is in stock now.

There are plenty of custom keycaps especially for Cherry MX switch boards. However, sometimes the modifier keys and space bar might be different size from board to board so you need to do some research to see if the caps you want to get fit on your board.

Some resources about the keycap sizes:
