Just bought a new pc called the 'Fierce Pc Cap22(Captain 22)'

Cpu:AMD athlon ii x4 750k 

Gpu:R7 260X

Ram:8GB 1333Mhz

HDD:1TB 6GBS 

Case:CiT Sentinel Mesh Gaming Case with Black/Red Interior and 12cm Red LED Fan

PSU:500 Watt

Wireless Card: 300MBS Tp-Link

KeyBoard:Sumvision Spectrum Indigo Blue Red Purple LED USB Gaming Keyboard Backlit

Mouse: Anchor 8000 DPI High Presision Laser Gaming Mouse

 

 

What are your thoughts on it? Keep in mind its a £450 gaming and photo editing rig, wil be getting an extra 8gb of ram to get it up to 16Gb soon.

Where's the motherboard? How do you expect those parts to operate without one? AND WHY ARE YOU USING A WIRELESS CARD? Wireless is literally the worst thing for gaming.

No, with a system like the OP posted, people should absolutely question why the person is going wireless. If they can't afford a quality system, the likelihood of them having a quality router and a quality internet connection is slim to none.

I use wireless and It hasn't effected my game play at all, ping went from 15 to 23 on speed test.net so it's not a big deal

This is still a quality system it just isn't a 100$ pc, it's fine for what it is.

No, it's not a quality system, and it's obvious from the lack of detailed information (no MOBO listed at all, and no manufacture listed for RAM, GPU, HDD or PSU) that the OP is not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to PC hardware. All of that calls into question everything else that the computer will need to support a wireless connection that isn't crap. If someone can only afford a super low end system, that means they can't afford a quality router and can't afford to pay for quality internet service. Both of which make a huge impact when trying to rely on a wireless connection for gaming.

Also, if you had the first clue about why wireless is bad for gaming, you would know that there are issues much more serious than an increase in your ping time. A wireless connection is subject to interference, which is a death sentence for online gaming. You can get used to and work with a slightly higher ping, but losing that connection randomly due to interference is not something you can compensate for.

OP, do not waste any money upgrading that system to 16GB of RAM. There is nothing you can possibly do with that system that would ever need that much RAM, that would not be limited by your CPU and/or GPU long before you would ever need that extra RAM. I understand you are probably on a budget, so save your money as more RAM will do nothing to help that PC.
