Hello guys

Today I finished building my computer.

After installing windows and then installing drivers, software, windows updates etc and then restart my computer Windows dont seem to work. After the windows boot logo i can hear the windows start up sound but I get a blank screen and can do nothing. I tried windows 7 and 8.1 both giving me the same results. I am so confused :S

P.S updated bios to the latest version but still no luck. I really need help.

so before you installed the updated and the drivers, the computer was working fine?

also u said u tried both windows 7 and 8, both had the same problem just after u finish installing the updates and drivers?

if the answer for both of the questions above is yes, did u try to restart the computer after u installed the windows only, before u installed anything else?

yes i have restarted the system before installing any updates, drivers etc and it worked just fine. as soon as i download something it seems like it doesnt want to boot up, ive installed the lan drivers first for internet access and it still worked fine after restarting.

since the lan drivers worked, try to install each driver by it self then restarting after each driver, and check which one is casing the problem.

start with the gpu driver.

After finishing building my new computer I installed windows 8.1 as you do and installed the lan drivers. After installing something minor such as google chrome or any update and restart the computer then WIndows doesn't seem to work. After the windows logo it goes on the desktop and nothing works. tried this several times and also tried w7 and got the same results. I even did a restart after an individual installation to see if its any of the drivers but no luck. as I said even installing just chrome and restarting it causes the problem.

P.S. I updated the bios

I really need help, the beastly computer I build is useless atm.

After the windows logo it goes on the desktop and nothing works, tried to get to task manager using ctrl+alt+del but I just get a blank screen and when I click esc it goes back to the desktop. I tried several times and also tried windows 7 but I get the same issue. I even did a restart after every installation to see if its any of the drivers but no luck, even after just installing chrome or firefox this happens.

Sounds like the ssd gets disconnected from the pc, could be the ssd itself, or the motherboard. Try to connect the ssd to another sata-port.

Maybe try the ASmedia SATA controller, it's slower but if that fixes your problem, you know the motherboard is the problem :) .

Check also the SSD with samsung magician, maybe it shows that the ssd is not ok.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3
