sniper elite 3 on gtx 780 ti

wow this game kicks my computers ass when I put the super-sampling to 4 the game runs really slow I don't know if I should get a second gpu is anyone else having the same issue?

 

 

screen 2560 1440p

intel core I7 3930k at 4.1 ghz

16 gb ram

msi gtx 780 ti

 

memory usage at 2800

gpu usage 99%

Well, you see the numbers. Your GPU is working as hard as it can. As for the vRAM usage, I think it's just a vRAM cache. 

 

If you can spare the money and REALLY want the extra FPS, then yes, get another 780ti.

the game uses amd tech has anyone tried 4x super-sampling with amd r9 290x

just turn it off to get more fps if you want to :)

 

also it's a demanding game!

Hmmmmm i would have thought that 780ti could easily max this game @ 1440p ?, my 660 sli setup can do it just fine @1080p with stupid amount of AA forced on in the control panel ( i hate jaggies )

ssaa is very intensive, just turn it down some

with supersampling at 2x and nearly everything else at max, my 270 (OC'd) hovers in the 50s normally (1080p).

4x super sampling is a bit ridiculous on a 1440p display, don't you think? Turn it down to 2x and you should be fine.

super sampling is pretty much just turning up the resolution and down-scaling to your monitor res.

 

don't turn it on, silly

its a brute force aa.

With supersampling @ 1080p my GTX780 was struggling as well. Just turn it down.
