it's worth the upgrade ?

Hi, I currently have a Phenom II x4 960t (Unlocked running x6 @3ghz) and an overclocked gtx 660 ti running in a M5A97 EVO, and i was thinking of buying a FX 8350, do you think i will notice some improvement in gaming ??

You will indeed notice an improvement in games that are mostly CPU bound. Your motherboard is AM3+ so you will with a bios update you will be able to support the 8350. Make sure you've got a decent cooler and you could also overclick it pretty well.

The difference is not going to be incredibly stellar though, and you'd see a bigger improvement upgrading your GPU, even though it would cost significantly more. If you were to upgrade to an 8350, I don't think you'd have to upgrade your CPU anytime soon.

Yeah You should go with a 8350 but the the improvement is not going to be huge.

ok, i forgot to say, i have 1866Mhz capable RAM, however, its running at 1600Mhz because the actual cpu doesnt support more, so if i buy the fx 8350 the RAM is going to run at 1866mhz
