LP or not LP?

how many stciks of ram? and what memory are you planning to buy?

LP RAM is what normal RAM is, and used to be up until companies started marketing those ridiculous headspreaders.

 

If you're getting 1600Mhz ram, just get some Vengeance LP it's perfect to task for you CPU.

 

Yeah it's ok to clock the chip that high so long as the temps are within safe limits, I recommend the 4790K.

i would get lp. that way you can use it whatever cooler you want.

Propably a single 8GB stick, of corsair LP, or 2*4...not LP.

if you're planning on buy another stick go with the 8GB otherwise 2x4 its good, i wouldnt risk it go with the lp

In another thread I asked about 8 vs 2*4, and the guys said it wouldnt make a noticable difference, and the single 8 is cheaper so i think Ill go with that.And it LP as well so its ok right?

As far as I'm concerned regular 'LP' is just regular RAM, and the ones with giant heatspreaders are 'king size'.

Samsung made some vlp's too, but they stopped making RAM or something.

Just get lp, then in the future you can upgrade the cooler without any compatability issues, also I would get 2x 4gb just because only 1 stick looks gay :P
