well probably about the same as the PS3/XB360 era? wich as basicaly ended a couple months ago but they keep planing games to run on it since it's such widely sold machines...i would say the new consoles will see AAA releases for the next 4 to 5 years at the very least.

BTW if you play at 1080p a single GTX 780 is all you need...don't get into the SLI just now, the second card will be useless, instead get a single one and next year get a second one on the used market for cheap or sell your GTX 780 and purchase a better single GPU when you realise the 780 won't be enough for your likings. at least that's what i would do. A single GTX 780 max out pretty much anything at 1080p.
