So me and my friend were thinking about starting up a YouTube channel together and we wanted to switch views from one another during the video.

The problem is I live in Georgia and he lives in California. What is the best file sharing website for files that big and more specifically, video files?

You could use dropbox/google drive (gdrive offers 10gb for free while dropbox is ~2gb free) or just upload the videos to youtube but make it unlisted so only people with a link can watch

As yolo said bittorrent sync is also a good free option if you both have good down/up speeds

Case: NZXT Phantom PSU: EVGA G2 650w Motherboard: Asus Z97-Pro (Wifi-AC) CPU: 4690K @4.2ghz/1.2V Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Ram: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB 1866mhz GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX970 Storage: (2x) WD Caviar Blue 1TB, Crucial MX100 256GB SSD, Samsung 840 SSD Wifi: TP Link WDN4800

Bittorrent is probably the best in terms of ease to use/set up.

Amazon S3/Google Drive/Mega/Drop Box could also do it, but is more hastle and expensive.

Torrents

We just tried it but I was downloading the torrent at 500kb/s and the torrent was about 3gb.

The speed is going to be limited by your friends upload capacity since your friend/you is the only seed in the swarm. It will still be faster than uploading it to a cloud service, sharing the link and then downloading it.
