Polymer is going to change web design. I found it after it was mentioned in the Google IO stream, and I already love it. Basically, it allows you to create your own HTML elements instead of using the same code over and over. Google has built a set of elements using Polymer that match the new Android 5.0 UI, and it's amazing.

 

I don't know every detail, so I won't try to explain it all here, but if you're a web developer you need to check this out:

Isn't this old stuff? I thought that custom tags were introduced with html5

I'm sure a friend told me about them many many months ago. What i'm talking about is creating new tags, and defining their default behaviour in js (and css?)
